This afternoon, Year 5 enjoyed an afternoon of learning at Hutton C of E Grammar school.

Touch Rugby Competition

All Year 5 children participated in our Level 1 Tough Rugby Competition on Friday 8 April.

The touch rugby competition was the climax to our games PE unit. 

Throughout this period the children have learned: 

  • how to run with a rugby ball 
  • how to complete an accurate swing pass

Irish Dancing Into St Patrick's Day

Cheese Tasting

Year 5 at Penwortham Priory Academy Taster Day

With secondary school soon approaching, year 5 recently visted Penwortham Priory Academy for a taster day.

During the day they had lessons in Resistant Materials, ICT, Trampolining and Science.

Engineering Day at Penwortham Girls High School

Year 5 enjoyed a recent visit to Penwortham Girls High School for an engineering day.

They learned how to use workshop tools, design a product using CAD (computing aided design) and use laser technology.

Science Investigation

This week, year 5 completed a science investigation where they worked scientifically to separate materials.

Year 4 and 5 had dentist, Dr Jordan, visit on Friday.

Cuerden Valley

Year 3/4 went to Cuerden Valley to study the river. Everyone had a fantastic day. 

The children took part in measuring the flow of the river, measuring the width and depth of the river, kick smapling and making a small boat that needed to float out of natural materials
