Mrs Foster's Welcome Back News!

Things to know for the next couple of weeks!

8 September 2016

8th September 2016

It was so great to see everyone on Monday!  The children looked very smart in their new uniforms.  I challenged them all not to get their lunch down it, but there were some bean stains by the end of lunchtime on Monday!

And the BOLA staff looked very smart too in their new uniforms! Check them out on our Facebook page - whitefieldprimaryofficial

A reminder from the end of term – please ensure all your children’s uniform is labelled, including PE kits. A sharpie pen is great for this. Our aim is to have no lost property bin this year, however after four days we have failed in this aim!

Don’t forget Roald Dahl Day on Tuesday – dress as your favourite RD character or come in yellow as this was his favourite colour.  Yellow socks was my aim but finding anything yellow in the shops is very difficult at this time of year!  I am thinking of buying my Hallowe’en outfit early and channelling Roald Dahl’s The Witches…..

It’s that time of year again when parents are looking at Whitefield as a school for their child in September 2017. Please let your friends know we are holding tours around school to see us in action every Thursday for prospective parents.  If they can’t do Thursday we can fit them in elsewhere!  Just call the school office and speak to Deborah, Sarah or Katie.

Don’t forget to note the meet the teacher dates coming up next week and the week after. These dates were emailed out on Tuesday and put on Facebook.

Remember to check out the school website for information and latest news but for up to date information you need to register with Facebook!  This week we have posted many photographs and reminders for parents and this is a way to get information to you immediately.  I can see that many more of you are using this from the number of likes we have been getting on posts. So thank you for that!

If you have anything you would like us to post on Facebook on your behalf please email school.
