At Whitefield, our children do very well in reading, maths and SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar). We do well in writing but not as well in this as other areas - writing is a whole school improvement priority this year. We have introduced some new learning opportunities for the children and our monitoring process and moderation across school has shown a huge impact on the quality of writing in the last 12 months.
Our end of year assessment results are shown in the table below:

We are currently waiting for the school comparison data for 2023 to be released on the website below - this is due in December 2023. School will be benchmarking oursleves against other similar schools across the country and making contact with those schools to look at their writing provision and their teaching and learning approaches.
