20 December 2013
Did you hear us on the radio this morning? Hwyel and Jamie mentioned our school at 10.00am and Tom, Jenni and Jenson went down to Preston Railway Station to present Rock FM with £286 for their Cash for Kids appeal. What a brilliant contribution. Thanks to everyone for supporting us and Rock FM. And thanks to Barclays who will match the amount raised by school.
It has been a fabulously busy couple of weeks in school. We have had our Christmas parties this week, Paula and her team cooked a brilliant Christmas lunch on Wednesday and Santa even managed to find time in his busy schedule to visit us yesterday morning!
The array of Christmas fashion in school has been brilliant and I think the best jumper I have ever seen was the one worn by Mr Wilson at St Mary's Church on Monday night! I just wish I had got a photo!
We are now looking forward to two weeks of fabulously festive and hopefully relaxing holiday time! I am off to the Manchester markets tomorrow and looking forward to catching up with friends, going to the pantomime on Christmas Eve and having family over on Boxing Day. Mr Foster has his X Box One, so some lovely quiet evenings planned for Milly and I, watching movies, having a few tubes of pringles and some choccies!
What a great year we have had at Whitefield in 2013! As we finish for our two week break, may Ms Clough and I take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday 6th January 2014!
