Mrs Foster’s News

Welcome back to everyone after half term. I hope you all had a lovely week.  It was the start of Milly Foster’s 10th birthday celebrations at our house and I survived a sleepover with 5 girls.  Not quite sure Mr Foster survived – he said he is booking in to the Travel Lodge next time.

I’ve posted the list of dates for your diary on the website and facebook this week so make sure you transfer to your diaries.

Well done and congratulations to the school choir who performed at the Guild Hall last night as part of our cluster of schools Celebration of Friendship.   I was at the rehearsals in the afternoon and a number of staff from other schools came up to me after our rehearsal and said how fantastic the children were! Mrs Smith, you did great job!  A fantastic event, with a brilliant Tiggis treat for teatime too.  Your children were amazing, and a credit to all of you and to our school. Pictures to follow via Facebook and the website.

A reminder following the letter sent home before half term – our school uniform will be moving to JUSTs clothing in Penwortham from September, but we still have many items in stock available at school at a slightly cheaper cost, so if you can, stock up on your jumpers!

We will also be adding PE hoodies to our uniform list from September which will be available in the school house team colours, as well as black tracksuit bottoms, so we can still do out sports outside when it’s cold!

Hopefully DORIS has now passed us by and I hope all your properties escaped unscathed.  We have friends coming over from The Netherlands today and they were on the ferry yesterday, complete with sick bags and sickness pills!

One of them, Maurice, has never been to the UK before and has chosen to experience his first visit with us in Blackpool! So tomorrow we are showing them all the delights of my home town.  I love Blackpool. It’s not quite ‘the number one place to live in the UK’ but it’s not far off for me!
