What a fantastic couple of weeks we’ve had!  Well done to Y6 who completed their SATs today, they’ve all worked really hard and shown a great attitude throughout the week.  Next week it’s Y2’s turn so early nights all round!

Even the weather was on our side as Mr Keogh completed his superhero run last week dressed as Captain America.  The children were very excited to see him arrive and greeted him in typical Whitefield fashion before completing their own run around the field.  They were thrilled that Rock FM turned up and so far, through his and the children’s efforts, we have raised £825 for Cash for Kids, our nominated charity that supports children in our local community.

Just a couple of reminders…

Weather:  While the weather is warm please remember to apply suncream before children come to school and send them in with a water bottle and sunhat.  If girls want to wear shorts under their summer dresses this is fine as long as they aren’t visible below their hem line.

Safeguarding: If you are on the playground or field with your children at the end of the school day please can you vacate these areas by 3.45pm as our before and after school club needs to use them. Also if you need to enter the building for any reason,  eg lost property, reading books,  please speak to staff in the office rather than entering the building via other entrances.

FOW disco: Please note the disco on the 16th May has been cancelled.

Have a good weekend - let’s hope the weather holds up over the weekend and we can make the most of our barbeques!
