I have received a couple of queries this morning regarding the message from the government that the children of just one person in the family who is a key worker are eligible to attend school .
The statement is very clear that this is only 'if required' and that 'if children can stay safely at home, they should, to limit the chance of the virus spreading'.
It is the stance of Whitefield that should you be able to provide childcare for your child/ren without having to send them to school, you MUST do so.
If you are a key worker and your partner is not, then there will not be a place allocated for you at Whitefield over the next couple of weeks.
I realise this may be difficult for some of you however please do not lose sight of what is happening and what we are needing to do.
This decision has been taken in order to ensure the safety of your children, your families, our families and our staff.
