It's our Planet Awards - we were winners again!

We were entertained by Flash Bang Science who did some experiments...froze a banana in liquid nitrogen, set fire to hydrogen filled balloons, made hair stand on end and put a child in a bubble type stuff.  Then we had lunch - yum!  Then each school nominated a child to speak to the whole room about what their school has been up to.  Scott did a great job and talked about how we recycle, have allotments where we grow food and turn it into jam and things to sell at enterprise, our composting and our wildlife garden and bug house. He really was very confident and fab.  

We were then named as finalists in the Community Involvement award and the Wildlife warrior award and won the Big planting Bee award.  So we have three framed certificates and on wall plaque trophy.

Harry and Scott did the school proud with their behaviour and confidence - Harry looked fab in his suit too!

 

They were keen to show everyone what we won in assembly tomorrow.  We also a have a square carpet tile to give ideas for for a competition in September about what it could be used for other than carpeting a floor.  There are prizes for the most ideas and the most original idea.  They will email school about it nearer the time.
