I can't believe we are coming to the end of this year!  And only one week until Christmas Day; I don't think I can contain my excitement.

We have finished all our Christmas productions this week - Year 4 and 5 did an excellent Carol Service at St Mary's Church.  Again, it was so impressive to see how they weaved their learning on the Victorians in to their performance.  We even had an appearance at Tuesday's performance by a cheeky butterfly.... It has been wonderful to catch up with you all over the last two weeks at our productions.

I heard some fabulous news this week - one of our children, Darcy Allison in Year 5 has successfully auditioned for the part of Tinkerbell in Peter Pan which will be at the Guild Hall in February. Well done Darey - we are all very proud and can't wait to see your performance!

As we come to the end of this year, we reflect in school on what a fantastic year it has been. We do however, feel sadness as we say goodbye to a long serving member of staff, Mrs Martin, who is leaving us to take up her new post as Business Manager at Leyland St Mary's High School. We wish her success in her new role and know she will be great.

We also won't see the return of Ms Clough for another few months. She is doing a great job at St Thomas's and we wish her continued success in 2015.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support throughout 2014.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and get some much needed time to relax with family and friends. Don't forget to continue to be good - Santa is always watching....
