We were delighted today to receive our Gold Behaviour Quality Mark from Lancashire County Council.

Lorimer Russell-Hayes, the Behaviour and Attendance Consultant for Lancashire County Council came in to school and presented a framed certificate, a plaque for outside and an official confirmation letter to our Head Boy Jenson Leadley and our Deputy Head Girl, Harriette Ellis.

We applied for the quality mark in October and had to submit evidence to show what we currently do in school.  Lorimer and her colleague came and spent a day with us and observed the children and our procedures. They gave us some good points for improvement and we have begun to work on these already (changes to lunchtime provision; outdoor play opportunities).

Well done to all our children, staff, governors, parents and other friends who make Whitefield such a fabulous place to be!
