I hope you all had a wonderful two weeks despite some dodgy weather.  Suprisingly, we got a bit of sunshine in Blackpool but our two days in the Lakes were windy and wet!

The term has started busily as always.  Year 6 went off for their week residential at Whitehough on Monday.  They are having a fantastic time and it's made even better by this glorious weather. There will be some Facebook pictures available next week as unfortunately there is nobody in Whitehough's amin office to upload them this week.

Keep saying your sunshine prayers for Saturday and the gala.  We are all prepared and I hope you have all read the gala letter containing the final arrangements that went out this week. Ms Garry has done a superb job with the float and I am looking forward to Saturday morning and putting it all together.  And I have had a design team working on my t-shirt this week!  If we don't see you as part of our procession, give us a shout as we go past you on the way.

Don't forget it's sports day next week so fingers crossed for sunshine again.  Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are on Tuesday at 2pm and Years 3,4,5 and 6 are on Wednesday at 2pm. If it is hot, please remember the suncream, hat and water.

The Friends of Whitefield are meeting on Wednesday 17th June 7pm at The Brown Hare to go through the final bits of planning for the summer fair. If you can come along, that would be great and there is the pub quiz afterwards for anyone who is up for that!

Dates of up and coming events are on the website so please have a look.  Don't forget that Jeremy Strong a famour children's author is coming into school on 23rd June in the afternoon to talk to the children.

You can now download an app for your phone and can access all the web information through that - go to the app store and search for schudio (who are the web makers). From there you can find our school and ta dahh!
