Phil Earle's Visit

Author Phil Earle, writer of humorous children’s books such as The Bubble Wrap Boy, Super Hero Street and Demolition Dad, visited Whitefield yesterday to the delight of our Key Stage 2 children.  Phil talked to the children about how and why he became a writer, how he develops characters and storylines, and innovates existing stories to help him.  The children were treated to his very personable presentation, some describing him as exciting, inspiring, funny and encouraging before having a one to one chat whilst he signed copies of his books.  Our thanks go to Phil and Elaine and Jake for bringing him to inspire our young writers.
